Peace Tree Dedication Ceremony
Date: Saturday 28th May 2022

Time: 3pm
Location: Chapelfield Gardens ( See map )

The Norwich Peace Camp and Peace Cycle invite you to the dedication ceremony for the newly planted Norwich Peace Tree in Chapelfield Gardens.

An informal picnic and gathering will start from 3pm, with the Lord Mayor kicking off the plaque unveiling and speeches from 3:15pm. Readings and reflections are welcomed after, should anyone wish to share. Please bring your own food and drinks.

The event will be on the Chapelfield Roadside of the park between the children’s play area and the pedestrian underpass (see map).

The Norwich Peace Tree is to commemorate that Norwich has a Mayor for peace. It has been donated by the community of Norwich Peace Camp in an initiative organised by the late Shan Barclay.

With conflict in the world at this time, we hope you will join us to maintain the vision that peace is achievable, and it starts with community.
